On Saturday 23rd August 2025 Phoenix members, friends and family went on an excursion to York to visit Brew York Brewery.
Having walked through the Shambles, with its unique historic buildings and stopping at the House of Trembling Madness on route, one of the cities hidden gems, the group headed to the tour.
Brew York brewery’s tour was an overwhelmingly positive experience. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. The tour provided an informative, hands-on experience of the brewing process in what was a personable and engaging tour, with a good selection of beer samples, and great value.
We would certainly recommend the tours to beer lovers. The atmosphere of the taproom, the quality of the beer samples, and the food in the dining hall was excellent. Hopefully Brew York will be attending one of our future meetings.
A few more pubs were visited following the Brewery , with much laughter, enjoying each other’s company.
